Why I don't write about intravenous ozone therapies

Someone asked me the other day why I hadn't written anything about intravenous therapies. It's a fair question, so let me explain my thinking.

I do think intravenous ozone therapies are powerful. In many cases they might be the best option. But I also think they've been overused and sold as the go-to solution when they shouldn't be. And beyond being potentially more delicate and often requiring specialized equipment, they have a disadvantage that nobody talks about: your veins don't like being poked.

Think of it this way. If you use a cannon for a small battle, you're risking that when you actually need all the firepower, your veins tell you, "it's too late, I'm already damaged." You save the big guns for the big fights.

The main intravenous therapies

There are several IV therapies out there. I'm not going to go deep into each one because I'm not an expert in all of them, but I want to give you the context so you know what exists and can do your own research.

10 Pass (Tempas)

This is a procedure where blood is extracted from the body, ozonated outside the body, mixed with a small anticoagulant and ozone, and then reintroduced. That whole cycle is one pass. Repeating it 10 times would be a 10 pass.

It gives good results. It's efficient. It's fairly safe when done by a professional with the right equipment. But besides using your veins, it's not cheap. Depending on how many passes are done and who's doing it, the price ranges from around $200 to $1,000 or more.

EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Ozonation)

In this case, blood is taken from one arm, ozonated outside the body (in some cases passed through an ultraviolet light lamp), and returned to the other arm after the process. From my point of view, it has the same disadvantages as a 10 pass. It's an intravenous therapy and the cost is considerably higher. But again, when you need it, it's an excellent option.

DIV (Direct Intravenous) and the Russian method

DIV is a method where a small amount of ozonated blood is injected directly into a vein. It's sometimes called the Russian method. This one could technically be done at home. There's a well-written book by Paola called "DIV for the Superparanoid" that can be used as a guide. Paola also does online training for it.

I recommend reading that book even if you're not planning to do DIV. It's always good to have the context and the knowledge.

But I go back to the same point: in my opinion, using your veins should be saved for when it's necessary. And although I've written a lot about why DIV is safe when done right, it still carries risks, especially if we're not well trained or we do something we shouldn't have done.

My position

I haven't done DIV myself. Not because I think it's dangerous, but because I haven't seen the need. I'm sure that if my son had sepsis or some serious viral issue, I would do it. I wouldn't try it just because I want to prevent a cold. These are therapies you should have in your back pocket. They're the ace up your sleeve.

For everyday maintenance and prevention, the home therapies I've written about are more than enough. Ozonated water, insufflations, sauna, cupping, bagging. Those are the tools you use daily. The IV therapies are what you bring out when things get serious.

Why I focus on home therapies

The reality is that most people reading this are looking for things they can do themselves at home. And the home therapies are safe, effective, and don't require a professional to be present. They're also a fraction of the cost.

Intravenous therapies have their place. But for the average person who wants to incorporate ozone into their health routine, starting with the basics is the right move. If you ever get to a point where you need more, then you look into IV options and find a qualified practitioner.

But don't let anyone convince you that you need a 10 pass or EBOO to get benefits from ozone. That's just not true. The home therapies work. And they work well.
